(SNN) -The trio of Facebook, Quora, and LinkedIn have been thrown into panic following the launch of a social media platform, LynkUPP.
LynkUPP is a social networking platform/ website which allows people to sign-up as users, create free profiles, lynkupp and connect with friends, work colleagues or people they don’t know, online.
LynkUPP combines the features of Facebook search with the unique Facebook touch, the features of Quora via its Forum, and the features of LinkedIn. It also has a directory where individuals and companies can list their profile and get seen, which helps in building online profile, brand awareness, reputation, and acceptability.
Speaking to newsmen on Tuesday at the London Heathrow Airport, the CEO of LynkUPP, Mr Austin Edoho, who recently relocated from the country, stated that LynkUPP was a timely idea borne out of the desire and need to see men and women interact freely on social media without undue interference, sensorship, or monitoring.
He stated that recently, the management of some social media platforms are beginning to act like tin gods, becoming unnecessarily bossy and dictatorial.
Mr Austin went ahead to mention instances of people’s account getting banned, disabled, or deactivated for little or no reason on some mega social media platforms.
In his words “Having a social media platform is great. But it’s people that made it what it is. For sticking with you, and helping you build the platform, they deserve your appreciation. You don’t just decide to go on a banning spree and start banning and deactivating people’s account for little or no reason. For crying out loud, we are not teenagers in Kindagerten. Adults should be able to express themselves without undue censorship. That’s the reason for creating LynkUPP.
“Inasmuch as it’s necessary to sanitise the platform and keep it safe and sane for users, indiscriminate disablement and banning of people’s account for one flimsy excuse or the other smacks of an advanced degree of high handedness never before experienced on the internetinternet”.
Speaking further, Mr Edoho continued, “LynkUPP also serves as a means of networking and sharing of ideas and passion with people of like minds. I believe this platform is a prayer come true for many who are tired of the high handedness of some social media management “, he concluded.
When asked about the cost of using the LynkUPP platform, Mr. Edoho stated that the platform is free to all users. Simply sign up with your phone number and email, confirm the activation email sent to you, and start using the platform immediately. According to him, everything is automated to provide a smooth and seamless user experience for the users.
He went further to state that as the platform grows, there may be need to expand its scope of operations. But for now, it’s basically and primarily a social interaction and networking platform.
Interestingly, while the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg is breaking new grounds in technological research and advancement, other upcoming CEOs are rising to the challenge to beat Mark at his game.
Did I forget to add that the LynkUPP platform also has an instant messaging platform where members can private-chat one another in real time?
Furthermore, you can send and accept friendship request from people, you can like and react on their post, and also comment on their posts.
The one thing that sets LynkUPP apart from Facebook is that there is no restrictions regarding what to post. No censorship. No fear of losing your account. And your chats are encrypted, which ensures 100% privacy!
From the look of things, the LynkUPP platform has come to stay!
As at press time, some excited people have already signed up, and already enjoying all the platform has to offer. Feel free to do the same.
